Science Centre Palampur

Introduction:

Palampur Science Centre is a constituent unit of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India. We have been actively working in the state of Himachal Pradesh to promote the dissemination of science and to nurture scientific temper among the people, particularly young students.

Palampur Science Centre offers a unique and enriching experience through a range of engaging features, including interactive science exhibits, educational programmes and workshops, astronomy-related activities and initiatives focused on environmental awareness. We aim to provide meaningful and enjoyable learning opportunities for visitors of all age groups.

Themes: Palampur Science Centre houses several thematic galleries such as:

• Fun Science Gallery – Demonstrating scientific concepts through hands-on exhibits

• Untamed Earth Gallery – Showcasing the dynamic processes of Earth’s interior, natural disasters and disaster preparedness

Through these galleries, students and visitors can explore and understand key scientific principles such as fluidics, acoustics, optics, mechanics, and electromagnetism in an interactive and engaging manner.
