The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kangra is proud to announce the Dhauladhar Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar, an annual award recognizing outstanding contributions in the field of disaster management within the district.
We are seeking individuals who have excelled in one or more of the following areas:
• Disaster Prevention and Mitigation:
Raising public awareness about disaster preparedness
Implementing hazard mitigation initiatives in high-risk areas
Developing innovative disaster management plans or utilizing technology for disaster management· :
Building community capacity for disaster response and risk reduction
• Disaster Response and Recovery:
Providing real-time disaster risk information to the public
Ensuring the safety of people and animals during disasters
Minimizing the impact of disasters on lives, property, livelihoods, and communities
Mobilizing resources and personnel for effective disaster response
Delivering immediate relief to disaster-stricken areas
Supporting post-disaster recovery and rehabilitation efforts
Maintaining critical infrastructure and basic services during disasters
Raising awareness about disaster preparedness following a disaster
