Special Teams have been constituted in every Police Station of this district to trace out and arrest all the accused who have been declarerd Proclaimed Offenders in different cases in this district. As a result of this concerted and sustained efforts 18 Proclaimed Offenders have been arrested by these teams during the year 2005

During 2005 the percentage of pendency of cases has been brought down to only 14.44% which is quite commendable considering the fact that district Kangra has the highest registration of case in the state

During this year 50 cases have been detected under the Gambling Act in which Rs. 1,05,932/-  have been recovered from the accused persons.

Similarly 853 cases have been detected under the Excise Act in which the following contrabands have been seized during year 2005

All the schemes initiated by the PHQ have been implemented in their letter and spirit in this district. Under the Community Policing Scheme frequent and regular interaction between the police and the public is taking place. This scheme has been appreciated by the public at large. It has not only helped the police in obtaining regular feedback from the people about their problems and concerns but has also facilitated better understanding by the people of the day to day constraints of the police. All this has fostered a lot of goodwill among the people about the district police. 643 meetings have been held under this scheme during year 2005 up to 30-11-2005.
