WATER SPORTS

HISTORY:-

Government of Himachal Pradesh.Directorate of Mountaineering & Allied Sports have established its Regional Water Sports Centre at Pong dam in Distt. Kangra and Water Sports centre at Bilaspur with modern facilities and equipments where regular Basic,Intermediate,Advance courses,Coaching Camps and National competetions are being organised in very thrilling water adventure activities,which comprises:-

Swimming,Water Safety & Rescue,Kayaking,Canoeing,Rowing,Sailing,Water Surfing,Water Skiing,Aqua Para Sailing & White Water River Rafting.

DURATION AND COURSE FEE STRUCTURE:-

Basic and intermediate course 14 days duration

1. Course fees Rs. 3100/- from Non Himachali Participants and Rs. 2500/- from Himachalis.Each course will start from 1st to 14th & 16th to 29th of every month.

2. Advance course is of 21 days duration & course fee's is Rs. 3900/- for non himachalis and Rs. 3100/- for all.

3. River rafting course of 14 days duration & course fees is Rs. 3600/- for all

4. Short duration water sports courses for 10 days duration and course fee of Rs. 2700/- per participant.

5. Very short duration 3 to 5 days @ Rs. 300/- per head/Day as per demand.

6. Special water sports courses/cpaching camps can be arranged as per demand for minimum of 25 participants in a group.

BOARDING OR LODGING FACILITIES:-

The centre has a hostel with total capacity of 100 persons to accomodate the participants in cubical & dormatories type rooms. A mess and dinning hall is adjoining to the hostel. Boarding/lodging facilities are also available for others on normal rates.
